All the patience in the world won't reveal any evidence of CB's involvement imo.

Investigations ~ particularly active ones ~ are a vehicle to test evidence which can either rule in or rule out a suspect.

Your opinion just doesn't substitute for the diligences being carried out in the interest of justice by investigators.

I prefer expectations.

While I prefer hope.  I will deal with the alternative if and when I have to.  I simply don't understand why anyone wouldn't hope for the life of a child.

I always thought Madeleine died on the 3rd May or shortly thereafter- I’m sure it’s crossed the parents’ minds too, but that is utterly beside the point.  Until it is know for certain there is always this thing called hope, the possibility thst your worst fears are wrong.  Do you understand this?

No, they don't, but I think it is much worse than that.  They have no hope in their own lives.

Very true.  If Madeleine had turned up alive they would have looked extremely foolish and even more hateful than they looked already so of course they needed her to be dead.

But why?  Foolish doesn't come into this unless you are utterly devoid of normal feelings, which has to be very sad.

What is interesting to me is that those who have supported the McCanns have spent years castigating sceptics for suggesting that Madeleine might be dead. Insisting (like her parents) that there was no evidence that she was dead.
Saying that Operation Grange were searching for her (someone even suggested they knew where she was and had her under surveillance).

Then a German prosecutor says she was murdered and not a word of protest is heard. Even the  fact that he did so (imo) without preparing Madeleine's parents is accepted. Suddenly their feelings are of no importance. There are a few suggestions that the Germans might be wrong and the child might still be alive, but not many.

It's like the supporters knew deep down that the child died, and that they thought the parents knew too, despite years of denial imo.

And throughout all those years the one constant that Madeleine had was her parents who never gave up on her for a second and whose efforts might yet lead to answer what became of her.

The current investigation stems in large part from their appearance on German television looking for information and answers
It paid off perhaps not with the information they had hoped for but until the investigation goes as far as it can Madeleine's case certainly is not over yet.

Me too.  Some sceptics are trying very hard to play some stupid reverse psychology games here but I’m afraid it just ain’t working.

Tis fear of being proved wrong.  Although why that should matter is a bit beyond me.

You’re so much nicer than this opinion suggests.

Whoosh, it went.

It's OK to accuse sceptics of wishing Maddie dead,  it's just not acceptable to confirm it, apparently. Strange.

I think that is a bit sad, but not terminal.  You are probably much nicer than you think you are.
