OK, thanks, Faith! As you know, i'm quite new to the McCann case, so don't pay too much attention to my ramblings mean time! A little bit of knowledge and all that.

This alleged sighting really is nothing of the sort. It's from a dubious source, in the wrong place and the wrong context.

The Smith sighting, however, in my opinion, remains one of the more credible witness reports in the case, but it has not been definitively explained or resolved to my knowledge.

No one identified as the man carrying the child that night has come forward.

Again, quite why this completely unrelated (to the case) set of witnesses would voluntarily inject themselves into the case several weeks later is also to be explained. I doubt it was for any personal gain / fame / infamy / ulterior motive, given that the family visited their co-owned apartment regularly.
It's an odd one.

And as you say, the fact that no one has ever come forward to say they were the man seen by the Smiths probably means they were the abductor! Or, dare I say it Gerry McCann as some of you think!
