PERHAPS, PERHAPS, PERHAPS ?
The direction this thread has taken is to grasp onto anything to try and give the appearance the GNR were distracted on the night, and the 'abductors' who have yet to be proved to have existed, managed to arrange an abduction to coincide with this.
Give me a break.
The fact remains that it was off season when Madeleine disappeared so I imagine that the GNR presence would reflect that and would be common knowledge.
A common time for burglars to strike is immediately before departure when victims will have the added trouble of contacting the police while making preparation for departure and there will be difficulty in following the complaint up from abroad.
Therefore although not definitive, I would suggest the 4th would have been more likely for an ‘ordinary’ burglary.
The GNR anniversary celebrations would have been well publicised and it would not have been rocket science for someone intent on abduction to arrange a diversion such as the call out to Odiaxere.
Only those with a closed mind will ignore the possibility; which makes it extraordinary that it was something which doesn’t seem to have crossed the thinking of the investigation, which does not seem to ever have stood back and looked at the bigger picture.
