For the twins to be tested to see if they had been given a sedative?  No mention of begging for medical assistance unless you know better?

Kate said she had raised her concerns yet nothing happened. As a loving parent wouldn't you be begging that your children have medical assistance ( which would begin with an effort to find out what the children had been drugged with ), especially if there seemed to be no reaction from the police ?

I know you've probably tried to explain this before but can a sceptic please remind me why they think someone who sedated their children inadvertently causing one of them to die somehow,  would then claim (falsely) in a book written some years that they''d asked for their remaining kids to be tested for sedative drugs?  How would that actually benefit the author of said book?

Because it might seem strange to ordinary parents that several witnesses claimed the twins were unresponsive but their parents appeared to do nothing ?

For what sort of time period do you speculate that the parents remained "very concerned" about the welfare of the twins but neglected to act?

According to Kate she was still concerned on Saturday when she spoke to the FLO's.

Amaral says in his book he thought pretty much straight away that the kids may have been sedated and wanted them tested, but didn't because he didn't want the McCanns to face "trial by media" (lol).  Now, I find THAT both inexplicable and concrete proof of a mistake on his part.

A very big mistake. So does that cancel out the deplorable lack of action on the McCann's part ?

Who are you talking about exactly?  Do you think there were thousands of ordinary parents around the world worrying about this issue who were waiting for Kate to clairify it in her book?  Don't be silly.  You're going to have to come up with a better explanation than that.

She was concerned that an abductor may have used sedatives, I don't think she was overly concerned that the twins (who were presumably by ths time functioning fully and normally) were in a life threatening situation.

Amaral lied? Never!

Two books each purporting to give the unadulterated truth. Well viewed from two different aspects and several different attitudes. Before one opens the covers one knows what one is going to find in principle and it ain't two tablets of stone fresh from Mount Sinai.

First and foremost I would be begging the police to find my daughter who had been snatched from her bedroom, which I believe Kate did.  Then I would wait with my other kids through the night, holding them close, ensuring that their breathing was steady and normal. which I believe Kate also did.  Of course, some sceptics find this utterly disgusting and think she should have been out searching and knocking on doors, so she can't really satisfy the sceptics whatever she does, can she?

I'm sure many parents who have heard the McCanns claim that the twins were potentially sedated find it strange that their parents did nothing to find out for sure until months later.

She suspected her twins had been sedated with goodness knows what by an unknown abductor. That she or her husband didn't take immediate action to ascertain what they had been given suggests either appalling parenting or guilt.

So you'd rather they evaded police questioning by disappearing off to the hospital, leaving their friends to deal with matters?

I very much doubt it ever crossed the minds of any but the most obsessive McCann sceptic, truth be told.  And even if millions were fretting about it for years, is that really a good reason for Kate to lie in her book about it?  It's as if you imagine that Kate spent months researching all the "sceptics" online doubts about their story and wrote her book in an effort to try and put them off their doubts, you reallydo believe that don't you...? &%+((£

Probably both Faithlilly, it certainly couldn't be that she had other things on her mind like her missing daughter, or that she felt her remaining children were in safe hands surroundedas they were by more than half a dozen experienced medical practitioners?  Oh no!  Of course they were shit parents and guilty as hell, that's the only explanation.
