I thought you weren't in favour of putting up more posters in Luz?
I still think identifying Smithman is crucial to this enquiry yet only the Sun newspaper ever did anything about it.

THE Sun helped the hunt for Madeleine yesterday by distributing flyers and
posters in Praia da Luz with the e-fit of police’s latest suspect.
Leaflets in English and Portuguese were handed out by our team at the resort,
urging anyone with any information to contact Scotland Yard.
Local businesses were pleased to display our appeals. Shop assistant Elane
Harvey said: “Hopefully it will do some good. We’re happy to put these up.”

The Sun approach is typical of the tabloid press. Get in - get your story - get out.
And I suspect on the 10th anniversary, there will be quite a lot of that. Though not in the anniversaries beyond.
What is wrong with the Sun posters? Suspect! Suspeito! Not possibly InnocentDad but SUSPECT. And e-fits that aren't worth the paper they are printed on. Compounded by giving 2 numbers in England to call.
A classic example of how
not to get InnocentDad to step forth.
Although it is not on the posters, and was not AFAIK repeated this time round in Portugal, OG repeated the 'heading to the beach' error.
So - option 1 - let the media do whatever they want for anni10, and keep fingers crossed they will stop the stream of cheap, lurid stories thereafter.
Option 2 - get Luz to manage anni10, or at least the part that happens within Luz.
And if you choose option 2, it would be handy to have a free phone number within Portugal. The one on the anni2 defaced billboard remains on the Find Madeleine website, so I need to check if that is actually working.
It would still be better to have contact with the McCanns to co-ordinate a Luz response, but one must work with what one has.
