In my opinion you're prone to exaggeration. Pointing out Wolter's inconsistences and doubtful claims isn't 'mocking and loathing' him. He chose to interact with the media and to publicise his belief that he knew who murdered Madeleine McCann, even though he can't prove it. He claimed that her parents had been informed, even though they denied it. Those facts need to be faced imo.

In my opinion HCW has been mocked and derided, and his integrity and competence called into question repeatedly.  That is not an exaggeration, your post above is just yet another example. IMO.

What we know is that Wolters has made that claim. He has also admitted that the evidence isn't enough to secure a conviction. He is, therefore, stating his opinion rather than a fact. In my opinion there was no need to share that opinion in order to appeal for information.
