You may have proved your scenario to your own satisfaction however that is not the same as actually proving it.
I didn?t prove a scenario, I proved that the alarm was not raised at 10.15pm, which was YOUR scenario.
For your scenario to be correct you need to
1) disregard every single other witness statement given that night regarding the time the alarm was raised (we?re talking at least a couple of dozen here from creche staff, waiters, manager, tapas group, etc)
2) Only believe one witness statement was correct - that of the man you believe is guilty, ie Gerry.
3) That the only thing Gerry didn?t lie about was the one thing that completely destroyed his own alibi for the Smith sighting.
4) that every single member of the Tapas group lied by omission, having failed to mention that Gerry left the table twice that night.
5) that the police having reviewed all this evidence holistically, including Gerry?s statement re the 10.15pm alarm came to the wrong conclusion about when it was actually raised , and that your powers of deduction are superior to theirs.
Absolutely bloody barmy when you actually engage brain and think about it, isn?t it?
